RARS maintains an e-mail mailing list. If you are a RARS member, we encourage you to subscribe. Any mail sent to rars-l will be automatically forwarded to your email address. Anyone can send email to the list server, but all mail should be related to amateur radio and/or RARS.
Here's how to sign up:
If you are running a modern computer system and email software you can simply click here and then press the SEND button in your email program.
Otherwise, send an e-mail to: majordomo@rtpnet.org from the email address where you wish to have the mail sent.
In the SUBJECT line, put anything, or nothing -- it's ignored.
In the BODY, put this:
subscribe rars-l
NOTE: The character after rars- is a lower-case L, Lima, not the numeral "1".
In a few minutes, you should receive a confirmation message. Follow the instructions in the message.
Next, your request will be sent to the list sysop, Jeff, AC4ZO, who will process your request.
If your name or callsign are not clear from your e-mail address, send Jeff an e-mail at w4dw_trustee at rars.org (replace at with @) and tell him who you are. It may take a day or two for him to confirm your subscription, so be patient. Once confirmed, you'll receive instructions on how to use the list.
NOTE: The RARS-L Mailing List is primarily a private way to communicate with other RARS members via email. If you are more interested in a way to publicly posted messages to communicate with members and non-members please sign up for the RARS Forum Yahoo! Group.
