Each 1st and 3rd Wed, 7 pm, Centering Prayer: Raleigh Friends Meeting and Holy Trinity Lutheran join in silence together. Call 782-2599 for location & directions.

Annual Picnic at Falls Lake: September 13, 2008. We will meet at the picnic table area to the right of the swimming beach at Beaverdam Recreation area at Falls Lake from 5 PMish til 8 PM (park closing time), for a potluck picnic supper, swimming, fellowship, fun and games.  We’ll gather at the picnic table area to the right side of the swimming beach.  Potluck picnic supper will be around 6 PM.  Beaverdam Lake is great for swimming and small boats (no motors or jetskis).  The moon will be full. Movie night: October 4th, 2008. Pot luck supper starts 6 PM. Movie starts 7PM. featuring "Amazing Grace," based on a true story, this historical drama starring Ioan Gruffuld tells the story of William Wilberforces, an 18th-century English politician who fought for the abolition of slavery. Despite staunch opposition, Wilberforce wages an aggressive campaign using boycotts, petitions, and slogans.
