The League cosponsors debates with NBC17

The League cosponsored a US Senatorial Democratic Primary Debate with NBC17. NBC17 is producing, with the LWVNC and the help of local Leagues, a number of televised candidate debates this year.

General Election Debates

On Oct 13th at 8:00 pm, the League of Women Voters with NBC17 will host a live debate featuring all US Senate candidates: Elaine Marshall (DEM), Richard Burr (REP) and Michael Beitler (LIB). One-hour televised debates of candidates for races for US House seats in District 1, 2, 4 and 13 will also be shown (dates to be announced).

Lobby Day June 22

Our Voter-Owned Elections Lobby Day is just in three weeks! Common Cause is bringing in Lawrence Lessig as part of their Congressional FENA work on June 22 and 23, and they have generously offered to let him speak at our Lobby Day. Please see the attached flier.
