NC Division Procedure for Adding Tournaments to the Schedule
The NC Division Board is happy to add tournaments to the schedule over the course of the season, assuming that the following procedure is followed:
1) The tournament sanctioning request should be submitted to the Board at least one month in advance of the requested tournament date. The board needs a month of lead time for scheduling changes, adequate tournament advertisement, and working with the host club in finding an observer.
2) The submission should not conflict with a previously scheduled tournament on the day of the proposed event. If a conflict does exist, the division board will consider sanctioning the submission only as long as the two clubs have come to an agreement regarding the existence of the scheduling conflict. The existence of this agreement should be mentioned in the submission.
3) The division will do its best to locate and schedule an observing division officer, but the ultimate responsibility for scheduling an observer belongs to the host club.
