[Anchasl-l] ANCHASL update

Good morning!
For those of you who missed our Spring ANCHASL meeting last Friday - you 
missed a good one!

We had a panel of librarians discuss how they are dealing with budget 
cuts; an update on the AHEC Digital Library and NC Health Info; and a CE 
course on searching PubMed.  

Other exciting ANCHASL  happenings:
We have a new AdHoc Committee lead by Karen Crowell to set up a 
scholarship for ANCHASL members who are library students and/or 
librarians in need of funding to attend professional meetings such as 
MAC and MLA.  How cool is that?

Vendors are now sponsoring our programs.  Last Friday, Ebsco, Dialog and 
Swets Blackwell all donated money, gift certificates and/or door prizes 
for our event. Very cool!

ANCHASL is a happenin' organization!  Our Fall meeting will be a CE 
course based on feedback from members.  If you haven't renewed your 
membership or have not yet become a member, now is the time to 
join--it's only $15.00 a year, $5.00 for students!
