[Anchasl-l] Booth sitting volunteers needed

ANCHASL is arranging to have a booth, possibly shared  with NNLM, at the
upcoming NCLA/SELA  http://www.nclaonline.org/     meeting in Charlotte,
Nov 10 - 12.  The purpose of exhibiting, for ANCHASL, is to let other
types of librarians know about our organization, and ultimately recruit
new members.  We have a recruitment focus of librarians from community
colleges, colleges, and universities who serve health sciences careers
students, and public librarians interested in consumer health
information, and have identified this meeting as a wonderful opportunity
to reach these librarians.
 
This is still in the planning stages, and we are hoping to get some
financial assistance in this endeavor from Region 2 in the form of a
small exhibit grant.
 
We would need 4 members who would be willing/ able to sit the booth for
5 hour stints during these 3 days.  Some of your expenses would be
covered, we think.  At the very least, your registration for the day you
serve, and possibly for the entire conference, if you were interested in
attending.  There's a possibility of some per diem assistance, but that
is not certain.
 
Maybe some of you are NCLA members, and/or are planning on attending
this conference, anyway.  If any of you might be able to participate in
this opportunity, please contact me.  This is an informal survey, not an
official registration event, at this time.  I am just looking to see
what interest there might be among the membership for participating in
this.  We will keep you posted of further developments in this endeavor.
