[Anchasl-l] MLA Webcast: Tips for Negotiating Electronic Licenses

The Duke University Medical Center Library is planning to host the upcoming
MLA Webcast: Tips for Negotiating Electronic Licenses.   The Webcast is
scheduled for 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m., on Wednesday, January 26, 2005, and
will be shown in the Medical Library Education Center (MLEC) on the
Library's lower level.

The goals of this Webcast are to:

   Illustrate a librarian and publisher negotiating specific clauses of a
   license agreement and development a mutually agreeable contract
   Provide practical tips to those who deal with licensing agreements
   Provide useful negotiation tips for those who deal with licensing
   agreements

At the end of this Webcast, attendees will be able to:

   Pinpoint the crucial issues in a license agreement
   Negotiatiate appropriate wording with a publisher
