Experience:  One year of library experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Skills and qualities:  Strong oral and written communication skills.  Knowledge of and experience with Internet search engines and major medical Internet resources.  Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.  Experience with an integrated library system, Horizon preferred.  Experience with data entry, billing, and accounts desirable. Ability to function independently, with minimum level of supervision.  Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and the ability to participate in the planning, organization and implementation of new ideas.Physical requirements:  Must be able to stand at service desk for one-two hours, to push heavy book trucks, to lift heavy books for shelving, and to lift items up to 50 lb. such as projection screens, overhead projectors, & computers.DUTIES:The Wake AHEC Medical Library is recruiting a Library Technical Assistant (LTA) for User Services.
