Hi, everyone,
It's time! Once again the medical library community is planning to participate in La Fiesta del Pueblo. This great annual event is North Carolina's largest gathering of Latinos and celebrates the art and cultures of Latin America and the Caribbean.
We will be hosting a joint NN/LM - NC Health Info exhibit as part of La Fiesta's health fair. The exhibit will highlight MEDLINEplus.gov and NCHealthInfo.org, as well as the consumer health services of local medical libraries.
Please consider taking time to come and participate. All volunteers will be reimbursed travel expenses (mileage, meals and parking) as well as receiving two AHIP points and a small gift. For those of you enrolled in the "No Comprende" class offered at Wake AHEC in mid-August, La Fiesta will provide a wonderful opportunity to put what you've learned into practice.
Please look over the schedule below and email back with your preferred time slot if you would like to participate.
