Intranet Development Coordinator

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Health Sciences Library 
seeks an experienced information architect and project manager to guide 
and oversee planning, design, development, testing and implementation of 
a Library intranet. This full time, position is available July 1, 2005 
through June 30, 2006 Project may be extended beyond June 30, 2006 
depending on availability of funding.

The Health Sciences Library serves faculty, students, and staff in 
schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Public Health; 
UNC Health Care system which includes a 680-bed teaching hospital; and 
North Carolina AHEC - the statewide program for health professional 
education. HSL employs 65 FTE staff and has an annual budget of $6 
million. The library is nationally recognized for its leadership in 
outreach and education services. It provides a unique presentation of 
Internet-accessible electronic resources and services through the HSL 
web site (http://www.hsl.unc.edu).

The Intranet Development Coordinator's responsibilities are directed and 
evaluated by the Application Development Services (ADS) Department Head. 
This position will receive support from staff in ADS and the Information 
Technology Operations departments. This position will work closely with 
and provide leadership to the HSL Intranet Planning Task Force and the 
Intranet Development team.
