[Anchasl-l] apply now for a scholarship to MAC!

Apply /now/ for an ANCHASL Scholarship to attend the SC/MAC Joint 
Chapters Meeting <http://www.hsl.ecu.edu/2006/index.html> being held in 
Atlanta, Georgia on October 12-16, 2006!

Expenses are higher than usual this year because of the location and the 
size of the meeting, so the ANCHASL Scholarship Committee is offering a 
chance for one ANCHASL member to win a scholarship to attend the 
Mid-Atlantic Chapter Annual Meeting. 

 
The scholarship will *reimburse* the winner for the following expenses:

·        Full conference MAC member registration fee ($200) or student 
fee ($150)

·        One half-day or one full-day CE course (optional)

·        Up to 4 nights at the Westin Hotel at /half /the conference 
rate ($165)  per night (full rate reimbursed if attendee opts not to 
take any CE courses)

·        Up to $250 in travel expenses (airfare, train, or mileage)

 

In order to be eligible for this scholarship, an applicant must be a 
current member of ANCHASL and:

    * A resident of North Carolina OR employed by a library or
      information services organization located within the state of
      North Carolina

OR

    * If a student, enrolled in a library and information degree program
      within the state of North Carolina

The deadline for submitting applications is September 1, 2006.  Use the 
attached application and follow directions for where to send completed
