[Anchasl-l] Please make your vote count: include your name

Only ballots with member names included in the return address portion of
the envelope are counted. It is a secret ballot, and therefore the
ballot does not include a space for the voter's name or signature. Like
a civic vote, the fact that an individual has voted is recorded but not
for whom. This rule prevents voting "early and often" or if a member
hasn't voted and attends the Fall business meeting, the secretary can
offer them with a ballot.
To date, five ballots for the election of 2007-2009 officers will not be
counted because there was no individual's name on the envelope. Last
year there was only one. Please, if you have not already voted, include
your name in the return address portion of the envelope.
I am very pleased that members exercise their right to vote. I also
enjoy receiving mail pieces that are not bills or solicitations.
Thank you!
