The Health Sciences Library at the University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill seeks a NC Area Health Education Centers (AHEC), ADL
librarian to participate in the ongoing development of the innovative
AHEC Digital Library (ADL). As a member of the ADL development team s/he
will provide effective outreach, promotion and resource development for
the NC AHEC’s statewide system of libraries for health professionals.
Effective outreach and promotion will be provided by designing,
developing, and implementing print and electronic media and
communication strategies to extend the ADL’s reach to primary target
audiences statewide. ALA-accredited Master’s degree in Library and
Information Science, or Master’s degree in Public Health, or other
Health Sciences graduate degree, and education or experience in
Internet-based health information and/or health education is required.
*This position is a one year, half time appointment with a possibility
for reappointment*.
