Corporate Development Manager


The North Carolina Biotechnology Center seeks a Corporate Development
Manager to provide a specialized grants network for government, academic
and industry partners statewide.  Work requires identifying public and
private funding opportunities, communicating and providing technical
expertise to partner institutions and organizations, and implementing
special projects.  Projects will include working with the Biotechnology
Center staff to increase funding for programs.  Flexibility and the
ability to travel within North Carolina and out-of-state is required
(approximately 20%).

Minimum requirements include a Master's degree in communications,
science, public administration, public policy and/or economics and at
least four years of progressively responsible experience working in
technical project management or an equivalent combination of relevant
education and/or experience.  Grant writing experience and considerable
knowledge of state, federal, and foundation funding agencies is
preferred. The annual salary, with a range of $47,000-$65,000 will be
determined by experience and qualifications.
