[Anchasl-l] ANCHASL Scholarships for 2008 MAC Meeting with Application Attachment

 To help defray the costs of professional development for NC librarians and students, ANCHASL (the Association of North Carolina Health and Science Libraries) is offering two $500 scholarships for the MAC-MLA 2008 Annual Meeting, Almost Heaven…Exploring New Vistas: MAC 2008 in Morgantown, West Virginia, October 20 – 22, 2008.

Eligible applicants, who are approved for an award, will receive a $500 check in advance of the meeting to help with expenses as they are incurred.

To be eligible for an ANCHASL Scholarship Program award, you must be:
•a current member of ANCHASL and
•a North Carolina resident, or working at a library or information services organization located within the state of North Carolina, or a student enrolled in a library and information degree program within the state of North Carolina.

To apply for an ANCHASL award to attend this meeting, please complete the attached form and send to the chair of the ANCHASL Scholarship Committee at the email address or fax number listed on the application.  Hurry! The application is easy, but the deadline for submissions is August 25th.  Winners will be announced Aug. 29, 2008.
