With great pleasure, the ANCHASL Scholarship Committee and the ANCHASL Board announce the recipients of the $500 2008 MAC Meeting scholarships.
Recipients are:
James Harroun
James is a UNC MSIS student, specializing in Biomedical Informatics. His is working as a graduate assistant in Biomedical Informatics and reporting to UNC HSL, UNC SILS, and The Carolina Center for Genome Sciences. James is presenting a poster at MAC on the Biomedical Informatics Research and Training Program, a cooperative venture of these three entities. Look for James in Poster Alley!
Lara Handler
Lara is a new librarian, serving as UNC HSL's Library Liaison to the School of Medicine. She is particularly excited to attend the CE opportunities at MAC and to benefit from the experiences and insights that the conference and colleagues will bring.
Join us in congratulating James and Lara. Please make them feel welcome when meeting them at MAC.
We want to express our thanks to the 5 applicants for this award. We regret that all could not receive funds for MAC 2008.
The ANCHASL Scholarship Committee
