[Anchasl-l] Looking forward to ANCHASL service

Dear ANCHASL Members,

Although I haven't had the pleasure of meeting all of you, I wanted to
thank you for selecting me to be your ANCHASL President-Elect.  As a new
resident of North Carolina (March 17th of this year), I have a lot to
learn about the geography and the unique challenges of health and science
librarianship here in NC.

In case you are curious about me, I'm originally from Indiana where I
worked in public and hospital libraries. Then I did the NLM Associate
Fellowship for a year in Bethesda before moving to New York City where I
was the education coordinator for the Regional Medical Library, director
of the Public Health Library of the NYC Dept of Health and Mental Hygiene,
and most recently Associate Director at the Weill Cornell Medical Library.
 I've been on the board of the New York-New Jersey Chapter of MLA and
chaired the Public Health/Health Administration Section.

You're in great hands with your current officers and committees, but
please let me know if you have suggestions for how to make ANCHASL even
better or what I should know to serve you most effectively.

I look forward to meeting you all.  Thanks for welcoming me to ANCHASL and
to North Carolina!
