The Novant Health Libraries will be a host site for the April 20, 2011
Medical Library Association Webcast: "Shifting Skills to Navigate the
Changing Horizon".  The webcast will be shown in the FMC Conference
Center located at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

This program will introduce emerging trends in biomedical research and
healthcare environments that present new opportunities for information
professionals in terms of partnership, collaboration, and support.
These include: translational science, e-science, and electronic health
records, all of which will offer new and expanded roles for information
professionals in the management, sharing and integration of data; with
respect to new models for scholarly publication; as well as exploring
new ways to collaborate with Clinical and Translational Science Award
centers and their constituents.  All provide new opportunities to help
educate health and information technology professionals in the
meaningful use of health information via electronic health record
systems.

Times:
First wrap-around session:  	 1:30 - 2:00 pm
Webcast: 			 2:00 - 3:30 pm
Second wrap-around session: 3:30 - 4:30 pm

Attendees will earn 1.5 MLA continuing education (CE) hours for viewing
the webcast.  Those who participate in both "wrap-around" sessions will
earn an additional 1.5 MLA CE.  There is no charge to attend.
