[Anchasl-l] ANCHASL Fall Meeting- 9/16/11- Come one and all!

You are invited to register for the ANCHASL Fall 2011 Meeting  & NLM Exhibit Tour.  The event will take place on September 16, 2011 from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.  The title for the class is "Losing Space? Challenges and Creative Solutions!".  There will be two speakers; Pat Thibodeau, from Duke Medical Center Library & Archives, who will speak on how to effectively downsize
Collections and library spaces when necessary; and Michael Crumpton from University Libraries, University of North Carolina - Greensboro, who will speak on the use of assessment data for making decisions regarding space. Participants will also have a chance to interact in groups.

In addition to the class, participants will be able to view the NLM Exhibit Tour: "Binding Wounds, Pushing Boundaries: African Americans in Civil War Medicine"

The event will take place at Laupus Library, East Carolina University, Greenville, NC.

Parking will be in the B5 Lot (Free parking passes provided)

Registration fee is $55 for Members, $70 for Non-members, $25 for Student Members, and $30 for Student Non-members. Event includes light breakfast and lunch.

Participants may apply for 1 AHIP point per educational contact hour via the MLA Individual Participant Request Form, located at http://www.mlanet.org/academy/iprhelp.html.
