2013 Annual Research Forum

Call for proposals and lightning talks

The Librarians' Association at UNC-Chapel Hill (LAUNC-CH) invites proposals for posters and lightning talks to be presented at the Annual LAUNC-CH Research Forum. The Forum will be held Thursday, May 9, 2013, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, in the Louis Round Wilson Library on the campus of UNC-Chapel Hill.

The Forum offers researchers an opportunity to present research in the fields of library science, information science, and archival studies, or to discuss the implementation of new programs and services, collaborations and innovations, or other relevant projects.

We encourage submissions from librarians, library staff members, and information and library science faculty, students, and staff.

Two formats are available for presenting:

  *   Lightning talks. In five-minute lightning talks, researchers will briefly present the most notable elements of their work. Time for follow-up discussion will be built into the agenda.
  *   Posters. Researchers may also present their findings via posters. Posters will be displayed on 6' tables and should be mounted on free-standing poster boards. Poster presenters will be expected to arrive early to set up their posters and to stand by them during the session to answer questions. Handouts are encouraged.
