There seems to be sufficient interest to plan a trip to the Virginia border dark site Sat. night barring unforeseen lack of clearing. Let's tentatively plan to meet at the East Chapel Hill HIgh School bus lot at 6:30 pm to carpool up. Look on the Listserve at 5 pm or so for last minute go/no go decision. I tend to think it will be a go since there is a comet to be seen and it will be relatively warm. Come on for the first group observing of the new year. Walter, Robert and Jon (at least)

Subject: [Chaos-l] Observing Session
Everyone,
Our normally scheduled observing session for January is tonight ... but I
doubt the weather is going to cooperate. So I think at this point in time
it is best to tentatively postpone the observing session to tomorrow night
(Saturday the 8th). At present, the Dark Sky Clock says tomorrow will be
great! Is there any interest out there in driving up to the dark sky site
near the Virginia border? If so, please let me know!
Robert Nielsen
