[Chaos-l] 2005 Trinoc*Con convention seeks help from CHAOS

Dear all,

It's time for the 2005 Trinoc*Con convention, to be held once again at the 
Durham Marriott and Civic Center on July 15-16.  As you may recall from 
previous years:

Trinoc*Con is an annual speculative fiction conference held in Durham, 
North Carolina, that supports the exploration of the science fields, their 
related technologies, and celebrates those creative arts that strive to 
answer the great "What if?". Trinoc*coN is dedicated to the promotion of 
imaginative inquiry into all aspects of speculative fiction and scientific 
exploration - its past, its present, and especially its future.

For the past four years now, members of CHAOS have brought their scopes to 
Trinoc-con to share the wonders of the night sky as seen from downtown 
Durham.  Ok, it's not Mauna Loa, but the moon and Jupiter will be there, 
as well as some of the brighter summer objects. 

We have been asked to help out on both Friday and Saturday evenings.  If 
anyone thinks they might be able to participate, please drop me a note. 
It's a chance to discuss serious astronomy with a different audience than 
we might normally encounter. and our past particiaption has been greatly 
appreciated.  Be sure to check out the Trinoc-con web-site as well, at
