[Chaos-l] Farrington Point Last Night

Hi Folks,

Sorry for the short notice that I was going out last night.  I am sometimes
more spontaneous than a planner.  I just decided to get out at the last
minute.

Ken and a friend brought out a nice Meade 8" scope. we both set up around
10:00 PM at a Farrington Point boat ramp.  Ken found a couple of globular
clusters, and a pair that included a blue star.  Really cool stuff.

We saw only a handful of shooting stars up until about 11:30.  I stuck
around until about 1:30, and only saw a few more.

The sky was mostly clear overhead.  The conditions were very good looking
up.  There was a good bit of haze close to the horizon into which the moon
set.
