Dr. Alan Friedman is an amazing photographer and his work is seen throughout
the web. He has a brief tutorial on web cam photography and his photos
appear in Sky and Telescope, Astronomy and numerous other publications. He
uses an Astro-Physics 10" Maksutov-Cassegrain on an AP 1200 mount. The
processing is done on a Macintosh computer. The picture of Jupiter and
Ganymede are fantastic and rival the Hubble photos. His lunar, Mars and
Saturn shots are the same quality. Even considering the $25K in equipment,
he must have some great processing technique. I am waiting for him to
photograph a volcanic eruption on Io.
