This months meeting was very well attended. Thank you to all that came out.
Alice Yeaman gave an excellent "What's Up" report. Did any one go out to
look at Mars, Saturn and Mercury this evening? Remember up to the 17th is
a good time to look.
Bryan Henry's presentation on image processing his Jupiter images was very
good. He made it look so very easy. It is very interesting that even
though he had to invest in some of his equipment. The amount spent and the
image he captured was wonderful. the colors and detail that jumped out
from his images were amazing. Bryan made it look so easy.Well done Bryan.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Bryan also had a quick power point presentation on celestial object worth
taking some time to look at. Object include M64, NGC4565 and Markarian's
chain. Markanian's chain is a string of galaxies in Virgo. Bryan start
with M84 and move NE.
I finally showed my Winter Star Party video.
The meeting was over by 8:15 and the doors were locked at 9pm. So as you
can see there was a lot of talking and sharing information after the
meeting.
The talking and sharing are what I enjoy at the meetings. I pick up a lot
of hints and ideas. So come to July's meeting and share some astronomy
knowledge with others.
Clear Skies! Oh look, the skies are clear. Time to go out and air out the
scope.
