For transparency and seeing, it was awesome last night. If I hadn't been worn out with helping out with my sister's wedding, I would've taken out the scope possibly at JLake. I did take out a pair of binocs with my relatives and showed them Jupiter, Mizar and Alcor, and M8-- all from the washed-out skies of north durham. Amazing! It was one of the clearer skies I've seen this summer.

I would like to go to Jordan Lake tonight possibly if anyone's interested in going. If so, let me know. [I never go alone out there.] I would like to bag some of those Ophichinus globulars. Unfortunately, the weather forcast doesn't look as great this weekend.
