Hi all. Mark, John and I did make it to Farrington last night from
9:00ish until about 11:30. It was an extraordinary night, with no
dewing to speak of, and quite good seeing and transparency. Highlights
included a Ganymede occultation, the summer globulars in Serpens,
Ophiucus, and Scorpius, and the UMA and CVN messier galaxies. Thanks to
John for showing us T Lyrae, a very intensely colored variable "carbon
star". For more info, you can check out
