[Chaos-l] Mercury Transit

Greeting everyone,

The Mercury transit is quickly approaching and we need a place that we can
observe. I talked with Mickey Sorrell at Morehead Planetarium and she
suggested observing by Mapleview ice cream.  She said that there is a good
view of the sky almost down to the horizon.

One of the main issue is that the event is happening during business hours
when most of us are working. This will require taking time off.  

What do you think? Do we organize of is it every man for himself?

Morehead doesn't have any immediate plans to observe the transit. They are
looking into linking to a live webcast. However, they are interested in
what we may want to do.
