[Chaos-l] A Quick (Virtual) Show Of Hands

Everyone,

Jayme and I have been discussing doing something as a club for the 
Mercury transit (which is next Wednesday ... starting roughly at 2:15 
and lasting until sunset at 5:15 or so).   The Morehead Planetarium 
has also been interested in anything we are doing.   So I was 
wondering ... how many club members have a means for observing the 
sun (either a filter or dedicated solar telescope) and could take off 
from work next Wednesday and would join us for a club observing 
session somewhere around the Chapel Hill area?

Remember, there is also a request to have us and our telescopes at an 
observing session on the 10th (that Saturday).

Depending on the response to this posting, Jayme might be able to 
make an more informed decision ... and we would decide exactly where 
the transit observing would take place.   But we were wondering if 
anyone would be able to help from the club!
