Yeaman kept us up to date with "What's Up".

An observing session with the same classes one evening. Another will be
announced.
The Little River Park observing session was discussed and it be attended
by around 120 people.
The Transit no show of Mercury past the Sun was discussed.
Jon Stewart-Taylor gave an excellent talk on purchasing a telescope for
other or yourself. He talked about the "Do's and Don'ts of telescope
purchasing. He also talked about mounts, finder scopes, eye pieces and
books. He gave an interesting talk on all that one should consider before
they make that purchase.
Thanks Jon, Well done.
Up and coming events we need to consider:
Astronomy Days at the Natural Science Museum in Raleigh. We need a
display planned out and I was wondering if any one is interested in
planning and designing our display. We are the first seen usually as
people come up the escalator.
Also your astronomy pictures are wanted by the Raleigh Club for a display
about digital astronomy photography.
Observing session this Friday at the CHAOS Dark Sky site. It's the Leonid
meteor showers too.
Next month's meeting will be held at Morehead Planetarium. You'll need to
come a little early. You need to be at the planetarium from 6:45pm - 7pm.
If you come later than this, you won't be able to get into the meeting.
The building will be locked. This is a special event for CHAOS that MSP is
doing for us.
That's it for now. More email to follow I'm sure.
Clear Skies!
Jayme
