Hi all. We had a serial observing session at Farrington on Saturday.
Steve Meister got there early and stayed late, while other folks came,
stayed for an hour or so, then left. Steve would probably be a better
person to write a report. I got there much later than i'd planned
(9:30ish) and stayed 'til after moonrise. The conditions were as good
as advertised, and the hour i stayed there was definitely worth going.
The Orion Nebula (M42) was especially nice, and something about the
conditions emphasized the dark nebula overlaying the emission nebula at
the north end: it had a very strong presence and seemed to loom over the
bright portions.

Subject: [Chaos-l] Observing tonight at Farrington?
Hi all. The skyclock says tonight is going to be very clear and
transparent, although kinda cold (low thirties). Anybody interested in a
Farrington session? The moon should be rising around 10:30, and is
waning gibbous, so there should be several hours of good observing. I'm
thinking of trying to get there around 7:30 or 8:00ish.
