[Chaos-l] Comet McNaught

I went to Jordan Lake - Farrington Point second boat ramp yesterday and had a good west horizon view and was able to track it for about 25 or so minutes after I first saw it. It was pretty low contrast at first but was getting brighter all the time. I was using 10x42 binoculars and I never was able to see it clearly without the binoculars. It ducked behind the trees before it got dark. It's amazing that I could see it so well under those conditions including a well defined tail. I was also able to view it with a refractor at about 35x but I think the binoculars 
gave a better view. Also saw a lot of geese and planes with illuminated tails at sunset. I think I'll try again tonight. Sims Roy
