[Chaos-l] Last Night - Cold but Clear....

I would really like to thank Jon for leading me out to the dark site last
night. While it was a short evening, it was well worth the drive.

We arrived about 8 PM and left about 11 PM when significant cloud had moved
in. I would estimate magnitude 5+ sky. Seeing was fair at best and
transparency was not ideal, but since we were looking deep sky anyway it
made little difference. Dark and clear override all else for that.

Galaxies, clusters, and nebula were on my list, and I found each one without
any problems - including even very faint NGC1232, 2024 and 2237.

It was not as cool as I feared - still over 37 degrees when we left. A bit
of a breeze, but I was not cold at all.

I hope to see some of you tonight at Ebenezer.

I am interested in going to the dark sky site tomorrow night. I have not
been there yet.

Will anyone be going out?
