I don't know if anyone's heard of this or been to it, but there's a Star Party in Jamestown, NC (near High Point) Friday and Sat March 2-3, with observation of the eclipse. http://technet.gtcc.cc.nc.us/comserv/cline/tristar.htm Just thought some of you might be interested...

Subject: [Chaos-l] March 3 eclipse
Hi all. Ms. Sorrel reminded us that there's a Total Lunar Eclipse March
3, 2007.
Dr. Ronan Plessar of Duke U. is sponsoring a session at Forest View
Elementary School at 6:30pm.
I don't know how good the horizon is, and whether it would be suitable
and/or possible to observe from there earlier, but you might contact him
to ask. Info on the session and Dr. Plessar's contact info are on the
DTO web page:
http://www.cgtp.duke.edu/~plesser/observatory/
Hope that's helpful.
