[Chaos-l] Dark Sky site last night...

The trip out went very well. There were 5 of us out there. I would estimate
magnitude 5 sky - I had trouble sometimes spotting CVn 20 (mag. 4.7, and
directly overhead). I would rate seeing as fair to good.
It was a great night for galaxies, with CVn, Virgo, and Coma B right
overhead in the early evening.
It was fairly dry, and not too cold. Some clouds started rolling in about 2
AM, so that's when we packed up.

Hi Mark, It was a fantastic night. I went to Jordan Lake to help Mickey Jo
Sorrell and Richard McColman the Morehead CHAOS members. The crowd was a
good size of some where around 75-100 people. We looked at Mercury, Venus,
the Moon and Saturn. We even had a weather balloon pass by the Moon and
Venus looking like a third star. I tracked the weather balloon and the
observers were quite taken by it. I too got a photo.
Hey, how was the dark sky site trip?
