Hi all. I'm planning to be at Farrington tonight when the paddlers get
off the water. Company will of course be welcome. Observing conditions
don't look especially good (low transparency), but it should be mostly
clear.
I'll have my scope set up at the top of the west parking lot
Jesse: in the event that the paddle is canceled, please notify me!
Presumably Frog Hollow will not.
Thanks
J.

Telescopes Welcome
Dear CHAOS Members,
Morehead Planetarium and Science Center & Frog Hollow Outdoors' next
Paddling Under the Stars is tomorrow, Friday, June 8 at Farrington Point
Boat Ramp of Jordan Lake. I am lucky enough to be subbing in for our
regular educator, Amy Sayle. I'm really looking forward to it!
While the paddlers are on the water, we educate them about what they're
seeing with the unaided eye. Once they're off the water, we hope some
of you would enjoy being at Farrington to share views of the sky through
telescopes or binoculars. The paddlers will be meeting at 8:15 p.m. and
we expect to be off the water sometime between 10 and 11 p.m.
Let's hope the weather cooperates! If you think you might be able to
attend, can you let me know? Where should I tell the paddlers to look
for you after we get off the water?
