Hi, I'm thinking of manually setting circles with my 15" Truss
Discovery Dob and I have the Planetarium Program to give me up to the
minute Alt/Az readings.(yes, I'm a die-hard starhopper, but I think
sometimes it would be fun to do)... Most folks make their own circles
for the base Azimuthreadings. Some use a digital inclimator for the
Altitude which is quite accurate, but this is based on gravity.

I was thinking... I would really like to avoid a hand-made circle.
I'm lazy. :)
I wonder if a digital protractor would work for the horizontal
Azimuth for a full 360 rotation. Has anyone every tried to do this?
