[Chaos-l] Paddling Under the Stars Fri 7/13 - CHAOS telescopes invited

Dear CHAOS members,

Another Morehead event:

Morehead Planetarium and Science Center & Frog Hollow Outdoors' next Paddling
Under the Stars event will be tomorrow night, Friday the 13th, at Jordan Lake
(Farrington Point Boat Ramp).

While the paddlers are on the water, we educate them about what they're seeing
with the naked eye.  Once they're off the water, we hope some of you would
enjoy being at Farrington to share views of the sky through telescopes or
binoculars.  The paddlers will meet at 8:15 pm, and we would expect to be off
the water and ready for telescope viewing 2-3 hours after that.

If you plan to be at Farrington, can you let me know and tell me where exactly I
should tell the paddlers to look for you?

The current clear sky forecast isn't that promising, but we'll keep an eye on it
and hope it improves.  I'll post a message on the listserv Friday afternoon
confirming whether or not the paddle is on.
