[Chaos-l] loose focuser

My 1999 Orion 8" Dob seems to have a loose focuser (original 1.25" that came 
from the factory).  If I turn the knobs back and forth, the eyepiece receiver 
rocks side to side.  It moves enough that with my laser Orion Deluxe 
collimator inserted, the red dot will move from centered to completely off 
the target area just while moving the focuser up and down.

Is there a way to fix this?  Can it be tightened?  Should I buy a new focuser?  
If so, should I upgrade to a 2"?  The new Orion 8" dobs come with 2" 
focusers.

If a new focuser is in order, which ones should I consider?
