I had a lot of fun at the Morehead observing in late July. Thanks a lot for
having it.

Since you ask for suggestions ...

We had a great speaker at a recent CHAOS meeting (whose name I forget just
now). She encouraged us to do more drawing of what we see.

I think that, if we can get folks who are new to observing to draw some of
what they see in the sky, they would begin to "own" the sky. We could make
up a template sheet with an area for drawing, a place at the bottom for
date, time, place, which direction (SW, S, SE, etc), altitude, seeing
conditions, and scale. The rough scale could use the outstretched is about
10 degrees approach.

As I write this, some problems occur to me ... too dark to draw? ...
pencils? ...hard flat surface to write on?
