Everyone, I am setup at MASP, and last night was a pretty decent
night for observing (especially at or after midnight). Today is
going to be REALLY hot, and I needed to be in town anyway, so I came
home and will drive back down tonight. Depending on which weather
site you look at, it will either be good until midnight or 1 AM
tonight, or 50% cloudy for most of the night. In any case, once the
front comes through, everyone is expecting outstanding observing
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.

I'm not really sure why, but there are a LOT of people already
there. Most of the main camping ground is taken ... although there
are spots here and there, and there is area toward the pond (if you
were there last year you know what I mean). Some people (including
quite a few from the Raleigh Astronomy Club) came down Monday ...
setup ... and then left for a couple of days. If you can, I would
suggest coming down as soon as you can and possibly setting up and
saving your space. But whenever you can come, join the fun!

Robert
