naked-eye object, and quite impressive in binoculars.

Might be a good year to haul the telescope out on Halloween.

Just saw this object myself from the light polluted skies of durham, and
what a surprise. Looks awesome...like a huge cotton ball hanging out
just below the Perseus Association!

Comet Holmes is definitely worth checking out. It is visible
with the naked eye from my driveway and looks good through binoculars or
small scope, esp. before the moon comes up. I think it's growing a
little tail but that may be wishful thinking. Everyone should take a
look and let me know what you think! It's easy to find, just below
Cassiopia and it's not moving much night to night, meaning it's headed
our way. Walter
