That's a good point.  Plus I think the Ultima 8" had very good reviews at

If this is true, I'd go with the older one that can be
hand-slewed.  ("Hand-slewn"?  You can slew it by
hand.) I'd want to have that option.  You never know
when something might go wrong with the drive system,
and you shouldn't be crippled if it happens.
