Greetings everyone,

The meeting last night at the Morehead Planetarium was a rousing good time. There were close to a hundred people there according to Mickey and Amy. We were given literally the run of the complex. Amateur Astronomers were in every nook and cranny checking out the Planetarium's exhibits. I must say that the exhibits were First Class. Everyone had a great time playing and learning with them. The Zoom In exhibit occupied many guests for quite a while.

Amy Sayle, Mickey Jo Sorrell and Richard McColman did a fantastic job with their Star Theater programs. "Destination Space" a production by Richard with Mickey's assistance was entertaining, educational and incredibly well done. We applaud you and all involved once again.
Amy gave us a great tour of the "Carolina Skies" and kept us up all night from dusk to dawn with the Zeiss Star Projector. Then when we thought we were safe, Amy took us back in time a few hours and then warped us down to Sydney Australia and other cities in the Southern Hemisphere at the 35 degree Southern Latitude. In the northern hemisphere we felt at home, but down south, we felt a little lost. However the skies there are just as beautiful. Amy was given many pop quizzes but she Aced everyone. Well done Amy.

Amy, Mickey and Richard, I hope that your almost 40 year old projector wasn't damaged by one night with us amateurs. Thank you once again for opening your doors to our clubs. We hope to see you again next year.

I also want to thank the Alamance and Raleigh Astronomy clubs for coming out to join us. I look forward to future joint meetings and observing sessions with both groups.

Clear Skies!

Jayme
