[Chaos-l] Special use permit of Boating Access Area

I think we can apply for a special use permit ... but I bet they are
only for a specific date and time. They are "designed" for permitting
people to have bass fishing contests and things like that. So when we
apply for a permit, we will probably have to say "we would like a permit
for February 20th between the hours of 8 PM and midnight. It may be
possible to (1) ask for all the permits that correspond to Fridays and
Saturdays when we don't have dark site sessions or full moons, or we may
be able to even apply for (2) a special use permit that does not have a
specific date and time. Who knows? If we do get such a permit, how do
we make sure that the club members that happen to go on that particular
night have it on them (to show the ranger)?

Believe it or not, I think this is a great thing to discuss next Tuesday
... at our next meeting. This is actual club business! And this is
the kind of thing that a CLUB can accomplish where a single person may
not. So I suggest that we either discuss this subject before or even
after the presentation next Tuesday ... and as a club figure out the
best approach.

Jayme, can I make a "motion" (on the listserv) to discuss this next
Tuesday?
