Everyone,
Assuming the weather cooperates (and the Clear Sky Clock seems to think
it will be OK), the Morehead Planetarium is holding an observing session
around their sundial tomorrow night ... starting at 8:30 PM and lasting
until 11:00 PM. The event? A total lunar eclipse ... lasting in
totality for most of the 10:00 - 11:00 hour. If you want to join us,
bring your scopes and setup in front of the planetarium. Wide-field
scopes are especially useful tomorrow ... to see the moon and Saturn
(which will be nearby).
With the weather being nice ... and it being a "good" eclipse for
observing (before midnight ... pretty high in the sky) is should be a
good turnout.
Robert
