[Chaos-l] Suggestions - NC mountain cabin with dark skies for an extended weekend

Greetings Friends!

My parents will be visiting me, and I am planning an
extended weekend somewhere in the NC mountains in May.
 I would like to take advantage of the dark skies for
some good observing.

Has anyone any exprience of a good cabin for 4 people
with very little light pollution, and where one can
preferably observe from the deck or a yard, or
someplace that is not too far from the cabin?  I would
very much appreciate if you would be willing to share
your experiences of such places.
