[Chaos-l] WorldWideTelescope

Has anyone else out there tried the "WorldWideTelescope" 
(http://www.worldwidetelescope.org)?   It is a new sky viewing / 
planetarium from Microsoft Research, I guess to steal some of the 
thunder from Google Sky, but on my computer (which isn't a slouch 
either) it is very unimpressive!   Only shows some of the stars, the 
Andromeda Galaxy is just a blob when you say "show me in detail", and 
the display itself is a little dark and hard to see.

Starry Night or TheSky are much better alternatives, in my opinion.   
But I haven't tried Google Sky (because when I installed Google Earth, 
it started causing my computer to randomly blue screen every now and 
then ... I guess you get what you pay for).

Any other opinions?
