[Chaos-l] Last Nights meeting

Well, with a wink and a smile God allowed us to see the Moon 
and Jupiter well enough that the Carol Woods die-hard observers didn't 
go away disappointed. 

At around 8 o'clock, we could see the Moon through the clouds. Those that brought 
the grab and go scopes were able to set up quickly to see the craters. Yes we were looking 
through the soup, but we could make out some features. Jupiter popped out around 8:30 and we 
were able to see the cloud bands. On occasion we could see a moon or two. All in all, not a great 
night, but we were able to see something. 

Our next meeting is the Club Picnic. This is open to club members and their families only. 
Again, Bill and Susan Walser have been gracious enough to open their house to us. The date 
of the picnic is September 27th. So the usual second Tuesday meeting WILL NOT be held 
at Carol Woods. Stay tuned to this listserv for futher details.
