[Chaos-l] no eclipse tonight

The schedule shows an eclipse viewing session tonight at 9pm at Farrington.  
However, the eclipse will be over before the moon rises tonight.  It passes 
out of the penumbra just minutes before moon rise.

Our next chance to see an umbral lunar eclipse (meaning at least part of the 
moon is completely in Earth's shadow- see link below) is a total lunar 
eclipse on Dec 21, 2010 peaking at 4:17am.  Mark your calendars. ;)
